The RELONAT counselor provides an explanation of the relocation package to the relocating employee so that they are able to make a well- informed decision with regards to the job offer.
An offer is presented to the relocating employee based on the appraised value of the property. This plan assures employee guidance throughout the process, provides advances based on the home's equity, and allows for flexibility of closing dates.
The value-added service of Mortgage Penalty Reduction Assistance is also offered to the relocating employee.
The two following home sale plans are established for moves that fall under the jurisdiction of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and result in a more tax favorable program:
Guaranteed Price: An offer is presented to the relocating employee based on the appraised value of the property. This systematic plan assures the employee guidance throughout the process, provides advances based on the home's equity, and allows for flexibility of closing dates.
Amended Value: Similar to the Guaranteed Price service mentioned above. However, the guaranteed price is amended if the third-party sale price on the property is greater than the appraised value.
Buyer Value Option: Similar to the Guaranteed Price service mentioned above. However, no appraisals are conducted on the property and the guaranteed price is equivalent to the sale price once the property is sold unconditionally to a third party.
The three following options allow for a lesser degree of financial involvement by the client than the home sale plan:
This service assists the employee in determining the value of their property.
This plan is designed to aid your relocating employees market and sell their properties in the shortest time delay for the best possible value.
RELONAT will help the relocating employee select a lawyer/notary, understand the closing process and forward the departure costs covered by the client's policy directly to the legal representative in order to facilitate the process.
This service is provided to employees who prefer not to sell their property while on assignment. Employees have either the choice of renting their property or keeping their property vacant and the client can choose from a menu of options the expenses that will be covered.
In the case of vacant property management, RELONAT will manage the property and keep it secure until the employee returns. Assistance for employees who elect to rent their properties includes but is not limited to evaluation and selection of suitable tenants, rent collection, regular inspections and necessary repairs.
This service assists relocating employees who are renting cancel their leases prior to the contract expiry date. RELONAT will review the lease and provincial/state obligations, counsel the employee accordingly and reimburse any costs incurred as a lease cancellation penalty in accordance with the client's policy.
The RELONAT counselor provides a thorough and clear explanation with regards to policy benefits and employee eligibility to these benefits. All submitted expenses and supporting documentation is verified and reimbursed to the relocating employee in a timely fashion. Expenses can be reimbursed in accordance with policy eligibility at actual cost or up to a pre-determined maximum or lump sum amount.
A lump sum amount is determined and the employee is then provided with guidance and flexibility in making tax-efficient choices in order to maximize their relocation dollars.

This service provides assistance with all facets of the shipment of household goods and storage from selecting a mover to claim settlement to supplier management. We handle the administrative details to ensure that the client's moving policy is respected and RELONAT'S volume of moves allows for quality service at competitive prices.
